For the last 18 months we’ve created regular photo and video content for Ruth Astle. From races in Florida to training camps in Spain, it’s been great to experience both the highs and lows of Ruth’s professional journey first hand.
Last year we ditched the British summer and headed for the mountains and the hope of some sun on the Spanish coast. We were staying in Calpe, just South of Valencia near the beautiful town of Benidorm. It made for fantastic training. The choice of mountains or flat roads to ride the bikes, the same for running and a pool close by with easy access for the athletes to swim in.
We spent 10 days out there with Ruth while she prepared for Ironman South Africa. Creating both photo & video content for her social media and new youtube channel. In her first year as a professional athlete, doing as much as we can to create content without impacting training is hugely beneficial for Ruth.
We tried to capture a mixture of content from track sessions to bike rides in the hills. This gives Ruth’s audience a much better insight into how she trains as well as day to day life.
